General issues
Are all jobs on the BILSTEIN career portal up to date?

Our job board is updated regularly and only shows open vacancies.

To whom do I address my application?

Your contact person is usually named in the job advertisements. Otherwise, simply send your application to the HR department.

When will I receive feedback on my application?

Your application papers will be examined in detail. We cannot give you a binding time frame, but we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Will my chances increase if I call?

No, a phone call does not affect the selection process. However, we will be happy to answer your questions if they are relevant to the application.

I have received a rejection. Can I apply to BILSTEIN again?

A rejection always applies only to the specific position. Of course, you can apply again at another opportunity.

Can I apply for several jobs at the same time?

If your applicant profile fits the respective advertisements, we would be happy to do so.

Can I apply online or by post?

Please always apply online via the thyssenkrupp career portal. Unfortunately, for data protection reasons, we cannot consider applications that reach us by other means.

Do you also accept initiative applications?

For data protection reasons, we do not accept unsolicited applications. Just take a look at our job offers.

Application papers
What does a good application form contain?

In the application form, you refer to your desired position, which is advertised in our career portal. Also tell us your possible starting date or, in the case of an internship, your desired period of employment.

Write something about your professional and personal interests and tell us why you are the best person for this position. In addition, you are welcome to tell us your salary expectations and when we can best reach you by phone in case of queries.

What information do I put in my CV?

Your curriculum vitae should show which previous school-leaving qualifications, university degrees and training and further education you have completed, if any. Also list your practical work experience, if any. Finally, list your additional qualifications, e.g. specialist knowledge, foreign language and PC skills, and driving licenses.

Which certificates are needed?

For your application, we need copies of your certificates, ideally in PDF format. These include:

  • Your last school leaving certificate
  • Certificates of completed vocational training
  • References from previous employers and certificates, if applicable
  • For students: Bachelor’s degree certificate, current overview of grades, proof of internships already completed.

Student jobs and internships
I would like to do an internship at BILSTEIN. How much time should I plan for it?

Ideally six months.

Can I also do an internship at BILSTEIN outside of my studies?

You can do both a compulsory internship as part of your studies and a voluntary internship.

How many hours per week can I work as an enrolled student?

That entirely depends on your field of work. As a registered student, your weekly working hours are limited by law to 20 hours. During the semester break, you can work up to 35 hours per week.

Do you have any questions about our job offers or your application?
