The application process at BILSTEIN:
From the first step to acceptance
#1 | Your application papers

If you are applying for a job or a internship at BILSTEIN, we need your complete application documents. This includes a covering letter, a curriculum vitae in table form and important copies of certificates.

#2 | How we check your application papers

A recruiting expert checks your application papers and then forwards them to the respective department. If both sides give an OK, you will be invited to a personal or telephone interview.

#3 | Prepare yourself for the interview

If you have received an invitation to an interview from us, congratulations! You have already taken the first step. The interview serves to get to know you better – and vice versa. In order to prepare yourself for the interview, it makes sense to familiarise yourself with our company beforehand. You can find a lot of interesting information on our careers portal and website, e.g. about our products or how we work at BILSTEIN.

#4 | Show us your best side

Who will be present at the interview depends on the vacancy. Usually there will be one or two nice colleagues from your future field of work and someone from our HR department. We would be happy if you could explain to us why you are the right choice for the vacant position. Feel free to ask us questions, because a healthy curiosity makes a good impression.

#5 | We take the first steps together

If we have decided in your favour, we will send you an undertaking. As soon as the contractual details have been clarified and the works council has given its consent, we will send you the employment contract. In case of a rejection, we will of course also inform you. But don’t worry, you can always apply again for a job at BILSTEIN!

#6 | Welcome aboard!

We will accompany you from day one. In the first step, you will be assigned a fixed contact person in your new team. You can clarify questions and discuss your personal concerns with them. You will then be familiarised with your working environment and get to know your new colleagues.

Together with other new colleagues, you will take part in the BILSTEIN onboarding programme and will be introduced to various work-related topics. In addition, we provide special onboarding days so that you can get to know your colleagues better.
